6. The Hotel in Santa Fe
Have you bought any new tools lately?
In this week’s episode, Dale and Brian share about a monumental project at a hotel in Santa Fe. This project marked their entrance into the new market of commercial high-traffic areas. Up until this point, most of the brothers’ work had been residential. With this debut into commercial projects, Dale and Brian knew that this process would bring more than a paycheck—it would bring experience they needed to succeed in this new market.
This shift in their services and capabilities compelled a shift in their mindset. A larger project meant more turf needed to be installed. Up to this point, the brothers had resisted investing in tools so they could focus on the immediate needs of their business. But with an expansive area stretching before them, they knew larger equipment was needed. Not only did this project require them to buy equipment, but the entire experience opened their eyes to the benefits and possibilities new equipment could offer them.
It’s easy to limit ourselves based on past experience; but to be truly successful, we have to look beyond where we are and where we’ve been to realize what truly deserves our investment. Are you at a place in your journey where you need to invest in resources so you can serve others to the best of your ability? What possibilities are you missing by sticking to patterns and precedence?
We hope today’s episode will encourage you to stretch your beliefs and get out of your comfort zone. That’s where real growth takes place.
